Refreshed and renewed 3 12 36

Happy New Year, Everyone!!!
It's the year of the Fire Dog!
For those of you who were born in 1970, as I was, this marks the end of our first three cycles and the beginning of the second stage of our lives. And what a way to bring it in!!!
Born as metal dogs with a rather rare stem-branch combination sometimes referred to as "temple dogs", this year can prove to be very interesting. Good or bad, there probably won't be many dull moments for us this year. My advise would be to channel the fire into productive and positive choices. If we can harness our 36th year, we are going to be a very powerful force to reckon with this year.
Harold, my brother, I hope you're reading this.
Right, so many blessings to all of you for the new year and don't forget to celebrate until February 4th!!!

Went to Pigeon Forge, Tennesee this past weekend.
Redneck vacation destination of choice, it is.
But, good times were had....good times indeed. It's an annual trip that I am usually unable to make, but this year I was there.
A dozen friends, a huge cabin with two hot tubs, a billiards table, good food, good party favors, good conversations.......great weekend.

The highlight was the hike in the smokies that we took on Sunday. I hadn't realized how much of my soul I had left behind out there in the real world when I settled into the illusion that has become my existence.
Same shit, different day sums it all up in my career. But, getting back out there amongst the trees and breathing real air was like receiving a transfusion. I was cleansed and purified on that mountain and unfortunately, I crave more.

I am, however, still riding high from the hike, so I'll milk it for all it's worth. Truly "religious" experience out there, Katharine.....and I didn't even smoke while we were hiking.
